  • Accountant/Business Manager Needed

    JOB SUMMARY: Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish and School is hiring a full-time accountant/business manager. This person reports directly to the Pastor and is responsible for the business and financial management of the parish and school. The accountant/business manager works in partnership with the Pastor and school Principal in managing the day to day financial activities of the parish and school. This position is also responsible for overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of the facilities and supervising the maintenance and custodial staff. As a person of faith, the accountant/business manager is committed to gospel values and the responsible management of parish resources.


    •       Maintain all financial records
    •       Produce monthly financial statements
    •       Prepare and distribute financial reports for the parish and the diocese as required
    •       Analyze income, expenses and financial trends
    •       Investigate budget variances
    •       Maintain and supervise accurate data and appropriate records for all financial matters
    •       Administer payroll and payroll records and file reports with the appropriate agencies in a timely manner
    •       Support the Pastor and Finance Council in drafting the parish and school budget
    • ​      Assist the Pastor and Finance Council with their responsibilities for buildings, grounds and maintenance of facilities
    •       Track and approve invoices and disbursements
    •       Maintain a secure environment for office information systems; coordinate with IT professionals as neede​d
    •       Serve as a contact for the diocese in all business matters and participate in meetings of other diocesan business managers
    •       Serve as contact person with financial institutions, vendors and others as appropriate  
    •       Maintain adequate liability policies and responds in a timely manner to all legal and insurance claims, in keeping with diocesan 
    ​       guidelines and directives

    QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
    •        Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience in the workplace
    •        Ability to interact positively and effectively with all parish constituents
    •        Excellent oral and written communication skills
    •        Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Technological proficiency including experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    •        Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
    •        Should have an understanding of Catholic values and be a practicing Catholic

    HIRING RANGE: $60,000 - $65,000

    American Heritage Girls Troop CO 1912 at Blessed Sacrament Parish is HERE!

    Our Information and Registration meeting will be on Tuesday, December 6th, from 5:30 - 7:00 pmin Room 303 of Blessed Sacrament School, 1958 Elm St. At this meeting we will introduce our Board and Unit Leaders, share information meetings, uniforms, handbooks, upcoming activities, and volunteer opportunities. There will be a question and answer time for parents, a sample of activities for the girls, and time for registration. We hope to see all of you there!
